We had a discussion about this earlier, but I don't feel we are clear on a few things with forums. These things should be cleared up:

How long does a forum stay open?
How many admins/users must be ok with the idea?
How do we go about a forum with opposition and support?

I think forums should be open for 4 days. I feel a week is too long. I think 1 admin must support the idea if other admins aren't active in the discussion and at least 2 other users. I think if more than one user raises opposition in a forum it should stay open longer than the normal amount of time. What do you think?

Well, methinks it'd work on a cae-by-case basis; that when two admins feel it's run its course, it's closed. And maybe a buffer, too; they discuss if they'll close it one day, and will close it the next if there's no objections. Anyways, a case-by-case system would be difficult to keep completely fair, but I think it'd be optimal.

Well, as I said, I'd think case-by-case would work best with the current scale of the wiki. :P

I agree with what Candlekeeper says. To give it a fixed amount of days would be unfair for those who are taking are break or away for a short while (unless they are informed about it).
